How do I book a party?

Colleen, our birthday party coordinator, will call you to discuss further details and arrange to get you on our calendar.
Is there a deposit required to book the party?
To reserve a party, the full Package fee is required. Any additional child add-ons or any additional features are due 7-10 days in advance of the event. All deposits will be done directly with your birthday party coordinator or on site manager.
Do I have to have 8 kids for the party?
The base price of all party packages includes 8 kids. The base price will stay the same no matter if you have 4 guests or 8 guests. You may add an additional guest(s), up to 18 total, for an additional fee.
What days of the week do you host birthday parties?
Birthday parties are scheduled by our party coordinators. Most availability is for Saturday afternoons. Time frame for parties are typically 11:30am-1:00pm or 1:30pm-3:00pm. Some select week night or Sunday availability, must be approved by birthday party coordinators.
Do I get to decide the design for the 1/4 sheet decorated birthday cake?
Our decorating team has curated an awesome design that fits any party offered at the bakery. If you would like to upgrade your cake to a different design from our website, please discuss with our party coordinators and we can make that happen!
Do you have an age restriction for birthday parties?
All birthday party packages are recommended for kids age 5+. We also host private events for adults too!
Do we get our own private room for birthday parties?
There is no designated private room for the birthday parties. We do, however, reserve a section of our cafe for birthday parties. You will be given a long table for the birthday party guests, and 1-2 additional tables for gifts, cake, personal items, etc. If you need further clarification, please ask our party coordinators.
Do I get to pick the designs for the decorating party?
Our decorating team curates an incredible experience catered to the age demographic of the kids attending the party. We do not accept direct requests for designs for parties. More clarification, please discuss with our party coordinators.
Can I do both cookies and cupcakes or do I have to pick only one?
You must select either cupcakes or cookies for the guests to the decorate. You cannot combine both styles at this time. This will be determined at the time you book the party. Changes to the decorating style must be made a minimum of 5 days in advance of party.
How much time do I have for decorating the space?
Decorating is not required! We provide tablecloth and banner for all birthday parties. If you would like to bring additional decorations (balloons, etc.) you have 15 minutes before and 15 minutes after the party time frame to allow for decorating. We do not allow anything to hang on the walls of the building.
Does an adult need to supervise the birthday party?
Yes! We require at least 1 adult to stay to supervise the party from start to finish. However, don't worry, our birthday party coordinators will do the majority of the organizing of the event.
Can I bring my own outside food?
No outside food/desserts are permitted.
Do I need to bring plates, napkins, or anything else for the party?
All materials required for decorating are provided by Dorothy Ann Bakery. This includes: tablecloth, disposable apron, piping bags, bakery treats, toppings, and boxes for each birthday guest to take their decorated creations home with them.
Will we have time to open presents during the party?
Yes! Please discuss with our party coordinator at the time of your booking to discuss if you would like to create time for opening presents.
Can you accommodate for any allergies?
Please note, we are not a nut free facility. Nuts and Gluten are on premise. Most allergies can be accommodated. Please discuss directly with our party coordinator at the time you book your party.
Cookies are not available in gluten or dairy free options.
Cupcakes can be available in gluten free or gluten/dairy free options.
What is the cancellation policy?
Cancellations to a party require 14 days notice in order to be eligible for any form of refund. Cancellations made 14 days or more in advance will receive a 50% refund of party package fee.
In the event the party needs to be rescheduled due to a last minute event (ie: family illness, emergency, etc.) we will take our best effort to re-schedule to a date that works for both bakery and family.
Can I book the party for something else besides a Birthday Party?
Of course, you do not have to be celebrating a birthday to book a party! Girl scout troops, bachelorette parties, sports teams, or corporate team building are all welcome!
